The film begins with William (Ralph Ineson), the patriarch of a Puritan family, being investigated in 1630s New Britain. He excuses everyone around him as misleading Christians, and the others guarantee that he criticizes the expression of God.

In the first part of the day, the goats have been butchered, and Benevolence and Jonas have evaporated. Thomasin rises out of the animal dwellingplace. She sees Dark Phillip charge at William. Dark Phillip skewers William with one of his horns. William gets an axe and seems ready to battle. However, he drops it. This gives Dark Phillip another chance to charge at him. Phillip knocks William into a heap of logs that pound him. Katherine emerges and keeps on charging Thomasin, faulting her for the passings of her relatives. Katherine starts to gag Thomasin, who ceaselessly lets her mom know that she cherishes her. Thomasin gets a close-by sharp edge and hacks at Katherine’s face until she is dead.Thomasin unobtrusively strolls into a horse shelter and wears a shroud.
