As the film begins, we see a man named Jacob walking around in a space suit in the jungle. Suddenly, Jacob’s eyes opened, and we realized that what we had just seen was only Jacob’s dream. Jacob is an astronaut and is currently in his spaceship. He turns on his video call when he gets a message from headquarters. Through this, everyone in his department can see him now. Jacob is on a solo space flight, meaning he went into space alone, and today is his 189th day. Because of this, everyone is congratulating him.
Everything is going great so far. He has a space mission to investigate clouds in space, which are behind Jupiter. It is a cloud made of dust, which is very bright to see. Jacob informs his department that he will be inside the cloud and will investigate it. He will provide all the information about this world. Here, Jacob disconnects the call.
On the other hand, Jacob’s wife contacts his headquarters and tells the folks at the Neurospace program that she is separating from Jacob. She doesn’t want to be with Jacob because he is not by her side during difficult times. She was pregnant, but Jacob was not with her, and she couldn’t take care of her baby before birth, leading to the baby’s death. She is now leaving her husband. The Neurospace program doesn’t tell Jacob this news because he is on an important mission far from Earth, and this news could ruin his emotional state.
Jacob is sleeping in his spaceship when suddenly, a terrifying dream opens his eyes. He sees insects entering his nose, eyes, and ears. When he wakes up, he realizes that it was just a dream. Jacob is disturbed by this frightening dream, which is a sign of his deteriorating mental health. The cause of his mental deterioration is that his wife has stopped talking to him for a long time. Whenever he calls his wife from space, she does not answer the phone. Now, his wife has decided to leave him.
Now, a call comes from his headquarters, where he is told that a South Korean spacecraft is supposed to reach out for a mission, but he has to finish his mission before the mission from South Korea. Anyway, night falls, and Jacob goes back to sleep. This time, his eyes open due to a noise in the spaceship. He is scared because the noise is so loud. At once, he opens the chamber of his place and sees a monster alien that looks like a spider. Jacob is very scared and closes the chamber.
The funny thing was that this alien had the power of telekinesis, which means he could read anyone’s mind and keep that in mind for anyone. Using this power, he tells Jacob, “Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you.” But Jacob was afraid and left. He puts on his space suit and calls his headquarters, telling them to release toxic gases into the spacecraft so that the alien dies.
Jacob wondered if maybe the monster wasn’t real and his mental state had become so strange that he was hallucinating. As soon as this thought came to his mind, the giant told him, “I am real and I am in your spaceship this time.” Hearing this, he became even more frightened and hid in his glass chamber. Poisonous gas was released from the headquarters, which ended. Scared, Jacob came out and saw that inside the glass chamber was a spider-like monster. It was enough to realize that the spider was still alive. He tells Jacob, “Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you. I was not harmed by your poison either.”
Jacob asked him, “What do you want?” He replied, “I am a researcher like you, and this time I want to know you because you seem so lonely to me.” The giant could not stop him. Hearing all this, Jacob was getting more and more worried. So he took sleeping pills and went to sleep.
Now, when Jacob woke up, he could see many memories of his wife. Jacob asks the monster, “Are you doing all this? Do you show me all this?” The alien replies, “Yes, because I want you to feel lonely.” Now here, this monster alien asks Jacob, “Do you have eggs?” Jacob replies, “I don’t have any eggs at the moment, but I have peanut butter.” He gives the alien a taste of peanut butter, which the alien likes a lot.
Now the alien finds out when talking to Jacob that he is here to investigate Chobra Megh. The alien, who already knew a lot about that cloud, tells Jacob that this cloud has been here ever since this galaxy was formed. He gave Jacob some more information about these clouds. After that, the alien monster shows him his wife’s memories again. And then Jacob asked him, “What is your name?” The alien replies, “I don’t have a name.” And Jacob called him Hanus.
After a while, this giant was showing Jacob memories of his wife. Now Jacob was upset because his wife had been upset with him for a long time, and this thing was hurting him. The repeated reminders were causing him more pain. So now the demon shows him memories of his father instead of his wife. Seeing this made the alien even more upset. And he tells Hanus, the alien, that his father is now dead.
They were just talking about a small particle in the cloud when their spaceship came from a small open chamber in their spaceship. Jacob was very happy to see this and he tried to catch this particle. But the alien told him that these particles could not be detected. As they spoke, Jacob’s attention was completely strayed from the spaceship. The Chobra cloud was approaching their spacecraft very quickly. The spacecraft would have been destroyed. Jacob was very afraid. His hands and feet were shaking. He didn’t know what to do. Then the spider-like alien hugs him, calms him down, and tells him that this Chobra cloud is like any other cloud. Even if it’s a cloud of dust, it won’t harm your spacecraft nor will it be destroyed. These are just particles that will suspend a part of your spacecraft.
Coming out of the situation, he remembered his wife again. How his wife was sick, she needed Jacob, but Jacob left her.
The alien also saw all his thoughts and memories. Now the alien begins to hate Jacob because he knows that Jacob was selfish. He left his family for his mission. Knowing this, he also leaves him. Seeing him go, Jacob tells him, “Hanus, don’t go. I want you.” But Hanus says, “I will stay no longer because I have seen that you have harmed your wife a lot. You are a very selfish person.”
Jacob realized his mistake. Feeling very sad, Jacob finally got up and called his wife to apologize. His wife was not going to agree so easily, but Jacob decided that he would persuade her. He didn’t just apologize to his wife but promised her that he would always be with her. This is his last space mission. After that, he will only give time to his family. His wife, who loved him and did not want to leave him, was leaving him only because he was being selfish. When she notices that Jacob is back, she forgives him, and they promise to live together again.
Hearing this, the alien also regained consciousness and told Jacob, “You did a great job. Listen, now you rest. Tomorrow is a very important day for your mission. Tomorrow you will be in the middle of the big hole in the Chopra cloud.” Many particles of the Chopra cloud were still around him, which he could see. Now he goes to sleep, and when he wakes up in the morning, he is fully prepared for his mission. He contacted his headquarters, where he knew the whole country wanted to see him.
Here, seeing all these things, Jacob concluded that the Chopra cloud must have formed when these galaxies were formed due to the collapse of the Sun. That is, these are the particles that remain after the formation of galaxies, which are so bright. Now he was talking when Hanus said to him from behind that he was going because he had a very bad infection. Because of this infection, all his aliens like him were killed on other planets, and now he will be killed too. As soon as he said this, he left the spaceship.
Jacob, who was sorry to hear all this, immediately followed him and on the way, he gave Hanus one last gift of peanut butter, which he loved so much. We see now that many space insects came upon the alien, which ate him and finished him off. On the way, Hanus shows him memories of his wife. That was when they first met. Jacob and Hanus were very happy to see this. And here Jacob realized that he really couldn’t live without his wife.
The scene cuts, and now we see Jacob back in the woods. He wanted to wear a spacesuit, but he met his wife. Here his wife was talking lovingly to him, but all this was just a delusion. Being alone for a long time, his mental condition deteriorated a lot, and he was so lost in his wife’s dream that he didn’t want to go back to the spaceship. Then Chopra disappeared somewhere in the clouds, and then the South Korean team rescued him. Jacob had already investigated Chopra Megh. Nevertheless, the South Koreans rescued him and brought him back to Earth. Finally, now Jacob met his wife, and he decides that he would never leave his wife and family.
